![]() ![]() Gottmik’s “Grand Finale Eleganza” look is reminiscent of an evil queen from a Disney movie combined with a femme Gene Simmons from KISS. ![]() With the three categories of “Black and White”, “Red All Over”, and “Grand Finale Eleganza”, the looks are heightened, breathtaking and EXPENSIVE, though none of the queens could hold a candle to Gottmik, who opened the ball in a complete drag version of Pinhead from the Hellraiser franchise – Pandora’s Box purse included! – and then brought the house down with the most “gorge” gown to ever clothe that tiny body. RuPaul is 60-years-old now and isn’t about to go out there and do some crazy dance moves, but she still gave some fantastic choreography that took me back to her work on the show that never should have been canceled, Netflix’s AJ and the Queen.įrom here, the Top Four queens partake in a Ball unlike any the show has ever seen as it’s extremely brief and each outfit (12 in total) are given just enough airtime for the audience to take them in, but not fully enjoy their beauty. The show immediately kicks off with an amazing opening number by RuPaul, singing her song “New Friends Silver, Old Friends Gold” and rocking the same look she wore for the holiday 2019/2020 cover of Vanity Fair. From a bombastic opening performance by RuPaul to the Top Four queens coming out in a Ball to a tribute to those who have died from AIDs, there was a lot going on in this finale and it ended the best way possible. It all was coming down to this moment and the rest was some fabulous filler. She absolutely deserves it and it is thrilling to see another Black queen take her rightful place as our reigning Drag Race winner.Sierra Rein Returns to Don't Tell Mama With Her Award-Winning RUNNING IN PLACE Symone is America's Next Drag Superstar, and while the finale was not one of the best episodes, it did crown one of the best queens in years. Symone shoots streamers out of her damn wig. The final song is Dancing Til the World Ends. The only way Kandy Muse is winning this thing is if Symone somehow didn't learn the words for the final song and even then. The stakes feel very low from here on out. It should have been Gottmik and Symone in the top two. Gottmik is asked to sashay away which is heartbreaking. "All eyes on me in the center of the ring." It is very that. She serves some fierce reveals but the real reason she wins is that she just has that quality that makes all eyes look at her. Gottmik and Symone both deliver strong lip-syncs, but Symone's star is far too bright to beat. It is fair because she was a little bit better, but wow seeing her in the top two is a shocker. Kandy Muse is asked to stay for the final lip-sync. The song is called Work B**ch, but they were dancing more like an unemployed b**ch. ![]() It felt like it was them against the music. It is much like Season 9 where the two front-runners faced off before the final lip-sync. All season we have watched the Gottmik versus Symone show and now they won't even get to do the final showdown against each other. It can not be understated how weird this is. The first lip-sync is Kandy Muse versus Rosé which is jaw-droppingly shocking. RuPaul has the dolls spin the wheel of fate. ![]() RuPaul announces all three songs will be Britney Spears lip-syncs. Symone's mom calls in and says, "We're so glad we have someone from Conway, Arkansas on RuPaul." Symone and Ru die laughing at "on RuPaul," which hilariously is what any straight people call RuPaul's Drag Race. charsimatic, unique, talented and full of nerve! RuPaul asks Symone about infusing activism into her drag and Symone says she wanted to showcase how beautiful Black people are and she really did that all season long. In the words of Vanessa Willliams Ru "went and saved the best for last". When RuPaul says the only thing she can say in Scottish is "Lawrence Chaney", Rosé teaches her another Scottish phrase, "Ellie Diamond." She reveals that she sprained her ankle and is funnier than she has been all season. ![]()
